We are looking for a dynamic professional to drive procurement strategies for engineering services within Industrial Automation, Process Automation, Climate Control, Life Science & Fluid Control and Transport.
Your Responsibilities :
- Purchasing Strategy: Analyze and understand internal needs, conduct market research, and thoroughly understand company and Group constraints, targets, and the supplier base. Define and implement purchasing strategies for the commodities under your responsibility.
- Supplier Management: Identify, evaluate, and manage supplier relationships to ensure the timely and cost-effective procurement of goods and services. Address and resolve supplier issues or disputes promptly.
- Negotiation: Lead negotiations with suppliers to secure favorable terms, including pricing, payment terms, quality standards, and delivery schedules.
- Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to understand company requirements and timelines. Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment between operations and procurement strategies.
- Risk Management: Develop and implement strategies to mitigate risks, ensuring continuity of supply.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborate with quality control and other departments to ensure that purchased goods and services meet established quality standards.
- Market Research: Stay informed about market trends, supplier capabilities, and industry best practices to continuously improve procurement processes.
- Reporting: Maintain detailed records of procurement activities and provide regular updates to senior management. Achieve cost reduction and on-time delivery (OTD) objectives.
Your Profile
- Master’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or Engineering. Professional certifications (e.g., CSCP, CIPS) are a plus.
- 3-5 years of experience in global procurement and strategic sourcing in an industrial environment.
- Strong negotiation and communication skills.
- Interest in high-technical purchasing commodities. Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
- Familiarity with ERP systems and procurement software.
- Knowledge of international trade regulations and customs procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional and multicultural environment.
- Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written. German is a plus.
